Armed robbers hit 2 liquor stores overnight in Logan Square neighborhood, cops say

Armed robbers donning masks hit two liquor stores within blocks of each other on Fullerton Avenue overnight in the Logan Square neighborhood, Chicago police said.

The first armed robbery happened about 10:50 p.m. in the 3000 block of West Fullerton Avenue. Police said two males wearing mask walked in a liquor store and took a cash drawer at gunpoint.

About 10 minutes later, the masked robbers walked into another liquor store in the 3500 block of West Fullerton and took two cash drawers and property from two employees at gunpoint, police said.

No one was injured during the robberies, and no one was in custody.

Detectives were investigating.
