Armed suspects rob woman at her Alamo home

(KRON) — A woman at her home in Alamo was robbed on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office. The woman was getting out of her vehicle in the garage when two armed robbers confronted her.

The suspects took some of the woman’s belongings before fleeing the home on the 2400 block of Biltmore Drive, authorities said. Deputies responded to the armed robbery at 2:36 p.m. and a description of the suspect vehicle was sent out to area law enforcement agencies.

Lafayette Police Department officers spotted the suspect vehicle on westbound Highway 24 and attempted a traffic stop. When the suspects did not pull over, police began a pursuit, CCCSO said. The chase was later terminated for unspecified reasons.

The investigation is ongoing, the sheriff’s office said.
