Armenia has delivered its first humanitarian aid to Ukraine since Russia's invasion, donating over a thousand smartphones, laptops, and tablets to Ukrainian schools, Ukraine's Education Ministry reported via Facebook on Sept. 7.

The aid was delivered by Anna Hakobyan, wife of Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan.

“These gadgets are primarily intended for children in oblasts where most schools are operating online,” the ministry said.

“These are children who had to leave their homes due to active combat, children with disabilities, children from low-income families or those deprived of parental care.”

Each of these oblasts will receive an equal number of devices — 80 laptops/tablets and 68 smartphones. Laptops and tablets will be allocated to educational institutions, while smartphones will be given as personal gifts to students of vocational-technical education institutions from low-income families.

Armenia has publicly taken a neutral stance on Russia's war against Ukraine but has stated that it will not assist the Kremlin in circumventing international sanctions.
