Armie Hammer's ex-wife speaks out following allegations against actor

Armie Hammer's ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers has responded to allegations of abuse made against her former husband, saying in an Instagram statement that she is "shocked, heartbroken, and devastated".
Chambers, who split from the Call Me by Your Name actor last year, thanked followers for their "love and support". The couple were together for 10 years and share two children.
Reacting to reports of unverified explicit messages sent by the actor, Chambers said that she has been "trying to process everything that has transpired" for a number of weeks.
"I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated. Heartbreak aside, I am listening, and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I didn't realize how much I didn't know," she wrote.

"I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal."
Adding that she will not be commenting further on the matter, Chambers reaffirmed her commitment to their children, her work, and "on healing during this incredibly difficult time."
"Thank you for all of the love and support, and thank you in advance for your continued kindness, respect, and consideration for our children and me as we find ways to move forward," she wrote.

Hammer has vehemently denied the allegations against him in recent weeks. Following his departure from the movie Shotgun Wedding, he said in a statement that the claims were "bullshit".
"I'm not responding to these bulls*** claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic," he said in a statement.
"Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I'm grateful to them for that."
