  1. Laurel Police are investigating a robbery of an armored truck driver. Officers were called to the 14600 block of Baltimore Ave around 10:30 a.m. for an armed robbery last week. After arriving on the scene, they spoke with the driver of an armored truck who said that three masked individuals approached them and robbed them of a deposit bag filled with money. The suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV traveling down Baltimore Ave. (WUSA9.com)

  2. Prince George’s County Police are looking for the people responsible for vandalizing a police cruiser near Laurel while it was trying to disperse a crowd, late Saturday night. Sirens blared while people attacked the Prince George’s County Police car.(WTOP)

  3. Last week, the White House announced that Paige Blake, a 20-year-old junior at Bowie State University student, was appointed by President Joe Biden to the President’s Board of Advisors on Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Blake is a native of Prince George’s County. She plans to attend medical school and study neurology to help others with spina bifida and other neurological conditions. When she was 4, Blake was diagnosed with a form of spina bifida. Now, she uses her personal experience to help advocate for others. (Baltimore Sun)
