Armored vehicles used after Brown County shooting that left teenager hospitalized, one taken into custody

PITTSFIELD, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Brown County took an 18-year-old into custody after a shooting in a small Brown County town on Wednesday night that sent a 16-year-old to the hospital.

According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were sent to reports of a shooting in the Town of Pittsfield around 9:40 p.m. on May 1. Deputies say the incident happened on River Forest Hills Drive.

Responding officers reportedly used armored vehicles to approach and contact residents of the address.

A 16-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while an 18-year-old person of interest was taken into custody without incident.

The incident was determined to be an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
