Hello A-J readers!

This week, we saw two businesses close, and a mix of other interesting news articles.

With this being the first weekend for several farmers markets in our area, I compiled an article on several regional markets to check out. Keep an eye out for that story, which will let people know the details on when, where, and what they could find.

Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its fourth location in the city at 7715 Milwaukee Ave. The latest installment of this chain will offer Chipotlane, a drive-thru window, designed for picking up mobile-phone orders.

We also saw some sad news for Mexican cuisine fans. La Chaveña, a Mexican restaurant at 1519 34th St. Suite B, closed its doors after the dinner rush on Friday. The owners said the space can still be rented as a venue, and hinted that they may pop up elsewhere in the future. Rangels Mexican Restaurant, 4821 34th St., also had its final day of business on Sunday.

Interestingly enough, 34th Street and University Avenue businesses could get some additional resources, thanks to the city council's approval of the Commercial Revitalization Grant Program.

Going into next week, watch out for the end of the month business wrap-up, where you can find the month's businesses that closed, opened, or announced. Also, make sure you are following the A-J on Instagram. We're planning some interesting projects, and our Instagram followers will be the first to see it.

As always, thank you for reading and supporting the A-J.
