Here's what you need to know about posted road work and traffic delays in South Jersey as of July 27:

PSE&G work disrupts commutes in Burlington County

A PSE&G project in Burlington City to replace cast iron gas pipes is in progress since January, with work during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

Currently affected are portions of Lansberry Drive, Langdon Road, Lagorce Bloulevard, Lamont Road, Laclede Drive, Laurie Road, Langrock Way, Lancaster Drive, LaSalle Drive, Latimer Court, Latimer Way, Lansdowne Road, Larkin Road, Gilbert Street, Laveer Road, Lansbury Road, Larchmont Drive, Latimer Court, Langdon Road, Neck Road, Laramoor Road, and Lambeth Road.

A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes in Cinnaminson is active at points on Church Road near U.S. 130 and on Fork Landing Road near Pine Street and Woodview Lane during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

In Delran, PSE&G is continuing a cast iron gas pipe replacement program on Stewart Avenue, between River Drive and St. Mihiel Drive. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights.

In Medford and Medford Lakes, Burlington County plans to begin resurfacing a 3.6-mile section of Tuckerton Road (county Route 620) on Thursday, August 10 as part of its State Funded Overlay Program. Completion is expected in three weeks. Traffic will be maintained between Heath Road and county Route 541, but motorists can expect delays and are advised to seek alternative routes. The work is being performed by Earle Asphalt Co. of Farmingdale.

A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes in Mount Holly is in progress on Jacksonville Road, between Broad and Ridgeway streets, and on Ridgeway and Broad streets, between Jacksonville Road and Mount Holly Avenue. Work takes place during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

A 3.6-mile section of Westfield Road/Brown Road (county Road 614), from Centerton Road to county Road 603, is being resurfaced in Moorestown. Work is expected through July 28. Traffic will be maintained but there may be delays and alternative routes are encouraged.

In Pennsauken, a PSE&G has completed gain main upgrades and is preparing for restorative road milling and paving work. That work is scheduled to begin August 15, weather permitting. Work will be between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The roads are” Boyd Street, between the Pennsauken border and Rosemont Avenue; Rosemount near Marlton Pike; Earl Avenue, between Rosemont and Lee avenues; Lee Avenue, between Marlton Pike and Earl Avenue; Harris Avenue, near Lee Avenue; Willgoos Avenue, between Harris and Earl Avenues; Earl Avenue, between Willgoos and Highland avenues; and Highland Avenue, between Marlton Pike and Earl Avenue.

Water line work in Camden County affects Kings Highway

New Jersey American Water is engaged in a long-term main replacement along West Kings Highway from West Atlantic Avenue to Hillside Avenue. The project affects Audubon and Haddon Heights. Full road restoration is expected in summer 2024. There will be a full road closure on Kings Highway between Wyoming and West Atlantic avenues.

Berlin Borough will be performing work on North Park Drive from Monday, July 31 through Friday, Aug.4 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. daily. There will be a full road closure between Cross Keys and Watsontown roads.

In Camden, PSE&G will be working on South Broadway from Monday July 31 through Wednesday, August 2 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. There will be a full closure of South Broadway at the intersection with Walnut Street.

Also in Camden, New Jersey American Water will be working on South 27th Street in Camden from on Monday, July 31 through Friday, August 4 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. There will be a full closure of South 27th Street between Federal Street and Marlton Pike.

In Cherry Hill, A PSE&G long-term project to replace cast iron gas pipes is active on many streets here during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

Currently affected are Orlando Road, Edgemoor Road, Russell Terrace; Abington Road, Abington Terrace, Kingston Drive, East Tampa Avenue, PRW 2 (at Marlton Pike), Greenbriar Road, Tarlton Court, York Road, Cooperskill Road, Dickens Court, Wayland Road, Westover Drive, Redstone Rdg., Pelham Road, Pelham Court, Sawmill Road, Sharrowvale Road, Timothy Court, Sawmill Court, Fullwood Road, Fox Chase Lane, Pine Valley Road, Teaberry Drive, Oxford Avenue, Antietam Road, Paddock Way, Whitemarsh Way, Dorado Drive, Forge Road, Aqua Lane, Shelly Lane, Burning Tree Road, St. Johns Drive, Black Baron Drive, Sherry Way, Tarrington Road, Tarrington Court, Covered Bridge Court, Barclay Lane, West Gate Drive, Rydale Road, Chelton Parkway, Williams Avenue, Willow Way, White Oak Road, Wyndmoor Road, Sherry Way, Holly Glen Drive, Charleston Road, White Oak Court, Barcroft Road, Bentwood Drive, Heritage Road, Heritage Court, Horse Shoe Court, Gravel Bend, Hapenny Drive, Fern Avenue, Randle Court, and Granville Drive.

Also in Cherry Hill, New Jersey American Water will be installing a meter pit at 1978 Greentree Road on Thursday, August 3 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between North Birchwood Park and North Green Acre drives.

A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes is active on Cumberland Street between Railroad Avenue and South Filmore Street in Collingswood during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

In Gloucester City, PSE&G is replacing gas pipes on Cumberland Street near Railroad Avenue and South Filmore Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and possibly Saturdays.

In Haddon Heights, PSE&G is restoring road surfaces at two spots on Prospect Ridge Boulevard on Wednesday and Thursday, August 2-3. work is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. On Wednesday, there will be a lane shift between Glenview and Devon avenues. On Thursday, there will be a partial road closure eastbound between Bellmawr Avenue and Lake Street.

Also in Haddon Heights, milling and paving will take place along Station Avenue on Monday, July 31 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between White Horse Pike and East Atlantic Avenue.

In Haddon Township, PSE&G is working on Center Street and Utica, Locust, Emerald, Virginia, Reeves, and Chestnut avenues from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and possibly Saturdays.

In Haddonfield, PSE&G is working on Center Street and Utica, Locust, Emerald, Virginia, Reeves, and Chestnut avenues from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The road is fully closed between Utica Avenue and Grove Street.

Also in Haddonfield, PSE&G will continue work on Tuesday, August 1 through Friday, August 4 installing a gas main on Coles Mill Road. Work is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The road will be full closed between Utica Avenue and Grove street.

Road work in Gloucester County at Woolwich Rt. 322 points

In Woolwich, the township announced July 14 that, as part of an intersection project expected to run until November, Route 322/Locke Avenue will be reopened overnight but Route 322/Oak Grove will be closed.

Culvert work reroutes traffic in Cumberland County

In Bridgeton, traffic is on a long-term rerouting around part of one-way South Avenue due to a culvert reconstruction project. Grove Street is operating as a two-way route to Baltimore Avenue.

Detours around Rt. 40 intersection in Atlantic County

In Buena Borough, there is a weeks-long intersection improvement project on Route 40 with daily closures in both directions at Flower Street. Work will be from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Route 40 westbound traffic detours onto West Summer Road/CR 682 to South Central Avenue/CR 627. Route 40 eastbound traffic detours onto South Central Avenue/CR 627 to West Summer Road/CR 682.
