Here's what you need to know about posted road work and traffic delays in South Jersey as of Aug. 3:
PSE&G work disrupts commutes in Burlington County
A PSE&G project is replacing gas pipes in Burlington City between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays and at times Saturdays.
Currently affected are portions of Lansbury, Lansdowne, Langdon, Lambeth, Lamont, Laramoor, Larkin, Laurie, Laveer and Neck roads, as well as Lansberry, Laclede., Lancaster, Larchmont and LaSalle drives.
Also: Gilbert Street, Lagorce Boulevard, Langrock Way, Latimer Court and Latimer Way.
A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes in Cinnaminson is active at points on Church Road near Route 130 and on Fork Landing Road near Pine Street and Woodview Lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and at times Saturdays.
In Delran, PSE&G is continuing a cast iron gas pipe replacement program on Stewart Avenue, between River Drive and St. Mihiel Drive. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights.
In Medford and Medford Lakes, Burlington County plans to begin resurfacing a 3.6-mile section of Tuckerton Road on Aug. 10. Completion is expected in three weeks. Traffic will be maintained between Heath Road and county Route 541, but motorists can expect delays and are advised to seek alternative routes.
PSE&G is replacing gas pipes in Mount Holly on Jacksonville Road, between Broad and Ridgeway streets, and on Ridgeway and Broad streets, between Jacksonville Road and Mount Holly Avenue. Work takes place in the 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.
Water line work in Camden County affects Kings Highway
New Jersey American Water is engaged in a long-term main replacement along West Kings Highway from West Atlantic Avenue to Hillside Avenue. The project affects Audubon and Haddon Heights. Full road restoration is expected in summer 2024. Monday to Friday, there will be a full road closure between Wyoming and West Atlantic avenues. From Tuesday to Friday, there will be a full road closure Edgewood and Wyoming avenues.
Also in Audubon, PSE&G is working on Wyoming Avenue through Thursday, August 10 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Washington Terrace and West Nicholson Road.
In Camden, New Jersey American Water is working on South 27th Street through Friday, August 11 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. There will be a full closure Federal Street and Marlton Pike during work hours.
In Cherry Hill, PSE&G is replacing gas pipes on many streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and at times Saturdays.
Affected areas include Abington, Antietam, Barcroft, Burning Tree, Charleston, Cooperskill, Edgemoor, Forge, Fullwood, Gravel Bend, Greenbriar, Heritage, Orlando, Pelham, Pine Valley, Rydale. Sawmill, Sharrowvale, Tarrington, Wayland, White Oak, Wyndmoor and York roads.
Also: Bentwood, Black Baron, Dorado, Granville, Hapenny, Holly Glen, Kingston, St. John’s, Teaberry, West Gate, Westover drives: as well as Covered Bridge, Dickens, Heritage, Horse Shoe, Pelham, Randle, Sawmill, Tarlton, Tarrington, Timothy and White Oak courts.
Also: East Tampa, Oxford and Williams avenues; Aqua, Barclay, Fox Chase, Shelly lanes; Paddock, Sherry, Whitemarsh and Willow ways; Abington and Russell terraces; and Chelton Parkway
A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes is active on Collings Avenue near Champion Avenue in Collingswood during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.
In Gloucester City, PSE&G is replacing gas pipes on Cumberland Street near Railroad Avenue and South Filmore Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and possibly Saturdays.
PSEG is working on gas pipeline replacements in Haddon Township and Haddonfield between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays through Fridays, with potential work on Saturdays. Affected roads are Center Street and Utica, Locust, Emerald, Virginia, Reeves, and Chestnut avenues.
Also in Haddon Township, PSE&G will be performing road restorations at 249 Cuthbert Boulevard and 1300 Collings Avenue on Wednesday, August 9 and Thursday, August 10 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. On Wednesday, there will be alternating traffic with flaggers on Cuthbert Boulevard at Lees Lane. On Thursday, there will be a partial road closure northbound on Collings Avenue between Route 130 and Calvert Avenue.
Also in Haddon Township, PSE&G will be performing gas main work on Haddon Avenue between Reeve and Chestnut avenues beginning Tuesday, Aug. 15. Work will be from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and is expected to last three nights, weather permitting. Two lanes of flowing traffic will remain on Haddon Avenue during work hours.
In Merchantville, PSE&G is working on West Maple Avenue and Browning Road in Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 11, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. On Monday, there will be a full road closure of Browning Road at the intersection with Volan Street. From Tuesday to Friday, there will be a full closure of West Maple Avenue between Browning Road and Morris Street.
In Pennsauken, gas pipeline replacements are affecting Federal Street between North 39th and North 42nd streets; Browning Road between Chestnut Avenue and Whitman Terrace; and North 42nd Street at Maple Avenue.

Road work in Gloucester County at Woolwich Rt. 322 points
In Woolwich, work on an intersection project is expected to run until November, Route 322/Locke Avenue will be reopened overnight but Route 322/Oak Grove will be closed.
Culvert work reroutes traffic in Cumberland County
In Bridgeton, traffic is on a long-term rerouting around part of one-way South Avenue due to a culvert reconstruction project. Grove Street is operating as a two-way route to Baltimore Avenue.
Detours around Rt. 40 intersection in Atlantic County
In Buena Borough, a weeks-long intersection improvement project on Route 40 is causing daily closures in both directions at Flower Street.
Work will be from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Route 40 westbound traffic detours onto West Summer Road/CR 682 to South Central Avenue/CR 627. Route 40 eastbound traffic detours onto South Central Avenue/CR 627 to West Summer Road/CR 682.
