Here's what you need to know about posted road work and traffic delays in South Jersey as of Sept. 21.

PSE&G work disrupts commutes in Burlington County

A PSE&G project in Burlington City to replace cast iron gas pipes is in progress since January, with work in the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

Currently affected are portions of Lansberry Drive, Langdon Road, Lagorce Bloulevard, Lamont Road, Laclede Drive, Laurie Road, Langrock Way, Lancaster Drive, LaSalle Drive, Latimer Court, Latimer Way, Lansdowne Road, Larkin Road, Gilbert Street, Laveer Road, Lansbury Road, Larchmont Drive, Latimer Court, Langdon Road, Neck Road, Laramoor Road, and Lambeth Road.

A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes in Cinnaminson is active at points on Church Road near U.S. 130 and on Fork Landing Road near Pine Street and Woodview Lane in the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

In Delran, PSE&G is continuing a cast iron gas pipe replacement program on Stewart Avenue, between River Drive and St. Mihiel Drive. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights.

In Mount Holly, PSE&G is replacing pipes on Jacksonville Road and on Ridgeway and Broad streets.

A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes in Mount Holly is in progress on Jacksonville Road, between Broad and Ridgeway streets, and on Ridgeway and Broad streets, between Jacksonville Road and Mount Holly Avenue. Work takes place during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

In Willingboro, gas pipe replacement is in progress on Wharf and Front streets, Lake Drive and Buckingham drives, and Bradford, Blueberry, and Babbit lanes.

Water line work in Camden County affects Kings Highway

New Jersey American Water is in a long-term main replacement project along West Kings Highway from West Atlantic Avenue to Hillside Avenue. The project affects Audubon and Haddon Heights. There will be a full road closure of Kings Highway between Wyoming and West Atlantic avenues from Monday, Sept. 25 to Friday, Sept. 29 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Full road restoration is expected in summer 2024.

In Camden, due to a transformer outage, Broadway between Federal Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is closed to cars Monday, Sept. 25. until 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26. NJ Transit traffic will still be permitted to the Walter Rand Transportation Center.

In Camden, there will be conduit work on Market Street from Monday, Sept. 25 to Friday, Sept. 29 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a lane shift on Market Street at North 5th Street.

PSE&G also is working on Federal Street. There will be lane shifts every day but Tuesday, Sept. 26. The lane shifts are between Hudson Street and Haddon Avenue on Federal Street, on Market Street between North 6th and North 7th streets. There will be a full closure of Broadway between Market and Cooper streets between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as well as between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., there will also be lane shifts on Market Street at six locations between South 11th Street & Broadway.

Also in Camden, PSE&G is working on Newton Avenue on Monday, Sept. 25 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Newton Avenue between Haddon Avenue and Clinton Street.

In Cherry Hill, A PSE&G long-term project to replace cast iron gas pipes is active on many streets here during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays. Currently affected are Sawmill Road, Barclay Lane, Willow Way, Charleston Road, White Oak Court, Barcroft Road, Bentwood Drive, Heritage Road, Heritage Court, Horse Shoe Court, Gravel Bend, Hapenny Drive, Fern Avenue, Randle Court, Granville Drive, King George Road, Kingsport Road, and Chapel Avenue East.

Also in Collingswood, PSE&G is replacing pipes on South Atlantic, Ogden, Merrick, Cuthbert, and Collings avenues and on Sunset and East Albertson lanes.

In Gloucester City, PSE&G is replacing gas pipes on Cumberland Street near Railroad Avenue and South Filmore Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and possibly Saturdays.

In Haddon Township, PSE&G is working on South Atlantic, Ogden, Merrick, and Cuthbert avenues.7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and possibly Saturdays.

In Haddonfield, PSE&G pipe replacement is continuing on South Atlantic, Ogden, Merrick, and Cuthbert avenues.

In Merchantville, PSE&G is replacing pipes on Federal Street, between North 39thh and North 42nd streets, and on Maple Avenue between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

In Pennsauken, PSE&G is milling and paving work, weather permitting, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m on a number of roads. They are: Boyd Street, between the Pennsauken border and Rosemont Avenue; Rosemount near Marlton Pike; Earl Avenue, between Rosemont and Lee avenues; Lee Avenue, between Marlton Pike and Earl Avenue; Harris Avenue, near Lee Avenue; Willgoos Avenue, between Harris and Earl Avenues; Earl Avenue, between Willgoos and Highland avenues; and Highland Avenue, between Marlton Pike and Earl Avenue.

In Pennsauken, gas pipe replacement is in progress on Federal Street, between North 39th and North 42nd streets; Browning Road, between Chestnut Avenue and Whitman Terrace; and North 42nd Street, near Maple Avenue.

Gas mains are being replaced along Jackson Road in Waterford Township through Tuesday, Oct. 31. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The project begins at Jackson Road and Route 73, moving towards Burlington County. Lane shifts and detours will be utilized. There will be a partial road closure westbound on Jackson Road from Monday, Sept. 25 through Thursday, Sept. 28.

In Winslow, South Jersey Gas is upgrading natural gas mains on Erial Road between Berlin-Cross Keys and Williamstown New Freedom roads since Sept. 11. The project runs to December. Road closures and detours will be implemented Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Clems Run Road repairs in Gloucester County

Gloucester County has hired South State Inc. for road milling and paving on Clems Run Road (County Route 623) between Harding-Richwood Road (County Route 623) and Mullica Hill Road (U.S. 322) in Elk and Harrison townships. Work requires alternating traffic or a daytime detour. The road will reopen at the end of each day. Residents will access driveways from at least one side of the work zone. Daytime closures will occur between 7 am and 5 pm.

Culvert work reroutes traffic in Cumberland County

In Bridgeton, traffic is on a long-term rerouting around part of one-way South Avenue due to a culvert reconstruction project. Grove Street is operating as a two-way route to Baltimore Avenue.
