Here's what you need to know about posted road work and traffic delays in South Jersey as of July 20:

PSE&G work to disrupt commutes in Burlington County

A PSE&G project in Burlington City to replace cast iron gas pipes is in progress since January, with work during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

Currently affected are portions of Lansberry Drive, Langdon Road, Lagorce Bloulevard, Lamont Road, Laclede Drive, Laurie Road, Langrock Way, Lancaster Drive, LaSalle Drive, Latimer Way, Lansdowne Road, Larkin Road, Gilbert Street, Laveer Road, Lansbury Road, Larchmont Drive, Latimer Court, Langdon Road, Neck Road, Laramoor Road, and Lambeth Road.

A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes in Cinnaminson is active at points on Church Road near U.S. 130 and on Fork Landing Road near Pine Street and Woodview Lane during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

In Delran, PSE&G is continuing a cast iron gas pipe replacement program on Stewart Avenue, between River Drive and St. Mihiel Drive. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights.

A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes in Mount Holly is in progress on Jacksonville Road, between Broad and Ridgeway street; and in Ridgeway and Broad streets, between Jacksonville Road and Mount Holly Avenue. Work takes place during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

A 3.6-mile section of Westfield Road/Brown Road (county Road 614), from Centerton Road to county Road 603, is being resurfaced in Moorestown. Work is expected to continue through July 28. Traffic will be maintained but there may be delays and alternative routes are encouraged.

In Pennsauken, a PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes is in progress on Federal Street, between North 39th and North 42nd streets; Browning Road, between Chestnut Avenue and Whitman Terrace; and North 42nd Street, near Maple Avenue. Work is in the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

PSE&G is replacing cast iron gas pipes on seven Willingboro streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during weekdays, and at times Saturdays.

Currently affected are Wharf Street, between Burlington Pike and Front Street; Front Street, between Wharf Street and Lake Drive; Lake Drive, between Burlington Pike and its end; Bradford Lane, between Babbitt and Sunset streets; Blueberry Lane, between babbitt and Bradford streets; Buckingham Drive, between Van Sciver Parkway and Charles Road; and Babbit Lane, between Levitt Parkway and Brooklawn Street.

Water line replacement in Camden County affects Kings Highway traffic

New Jersey American Water is engaged in a long-term water main replacement along a mile of West Kings Highway from West Atlantic Avenue to Hillside Avenue. The project affects Audubon and Haddon Heights. Full road restoration is expected in summer 2024. Work Thursday and Friday includes road closure between East Lake Drive and Edgewood Avenue.

Also in Audubon, on Thursday, July 20, PSE&G will be working on West Atlantic Avenue between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. A road closure will be in effect between West Nicholson Road and Washington Terrace.

In Barrington, New Jersey American Water is working on Copley Road between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, July 24-25. There will be full road closures between Warwick Road and Mercer Drive, as well as between Chesterfield Road and the off-ramp to Route 295 South.

In Berlin Borough, PSE&G is working on North Park Drive on Monday through Friday, July 24-28, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The drive is fully closed between Cross Keys and Watsontown roads.

In Camden, on Monday through Friday, July 24-28, a PSE&G project continues on Market Street between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. A lane shift will occur between North 6th and North 5th streets and between Broadway and 7th Street.

Also in Camden, Cooper Medical School is performing work on Broadway on Thursday, July 27 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Benson and Washington streets.

In Cherry Hill, A PSE&G long-term project to replace cast iron gas pipes is active on many streets here during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

Currently affected are Orlando Road, Edgemoor Road, Russell Terrace; Abington Road, Abington Terrace, Kingston Drive, East Tampa Avenue, PRW 2 (at Marlton Pike), Greenbriar Road, Tarlton Court, York Road, Cooperskill Road, Dickens Court, Wayland Road, Westover Drive, Redstone Rdg., Pelham Road, Pelham Court, Sawmill Road, Sharrowvale Road, Timothy Court, Sawmill Court, Fullwood Road, Fox Chase Lane, Pine Valley Road, Teaberry Drive, Oxford Avenue, Antietam Road, Paddock Way, Whitemarsh Way, Dorado Drive, Forge Road, Aqua Lane, Shelly Lane, Burning Tree Road, St. Johns Drive, Black Baron Drive, Sherry Way, Tarrington Road, Tarrington Court, Covered Bridge Court, Barclay Lane, West Gate Drive, Rydale Road, Chelton Parkway, Williams Avenue, Willow Way, White Oak Road, Wyndmoor Road, Sherry Way, Holly Glen Drive, Charleston Road, White Oak Court, Barcroft Road, Bentwood Drive, Heritage Road, Heritage Court, Horse Shoe Court, Gravel Bend, Hapenny Drive, Fern Avenue, Randle Court, Granville Drive, Chapel Avenue East, and Ranoldo Terrace.

Also in Cherry Hill and in Pennsauken, JF Huebner & Son Construction is working on Wisteria Avenue on Monday, July 24 until 4 p.m. Wisteria Avenue will be closed between Florida and Cuthbert Boulevard.

A PSE&G project to replace cast iron gas pipes is active on Collings Avenue near Champion Avenue in Collingswood during the 7 a.m.-5 p.m. period on weekdays and at times Saturdays.

In Gloucester City, PSE&G is replacing gas pipes on Cumberland Street near Railroad Avenue and South Filmore Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and possibly Saturdays.

In Haddon Township, PSE&G is working on Center Street and Utica, Locust, Emerald, Virginia, Reeves, Chestnut and Collings avenues from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and possibly Saturdays.

In Haddonfield, PSE&G is working on Utica Avenue, Locust Avenue, Emerald Avenue, Center Street, Virginia Avenue, Reeves Avenue, and Chestnut Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The road is fully closed between Utica Avenue and Grove Street.

There is PSE&G construction work in Merchantville on West Maple Avenue and Browning Road in Monday through Friday, July 24-July 28 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Tuesday to Friday, there will be a full road closure of Browning Road between West Maple and Chestnut avenues.

In Voorhees, New Jersey American Water is working on Somerdale Road Monday through Wednesday, July 24-26, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The road is fully closed between Echelon and Haddonfield-Berlin roads.

Road work in Gloucester County at Woolwich Route 322 points

In Woolwich, the township announced July 14 that as part of an intersection project expected to run until November that Route 322/Locke Avenue will be reopened overnight but Route 322/Oak Grove will be closed.

Road work in Cumberland County

In Bridgeton, traffic is on a long-term rerouting around part of one-way South Avenue due to a culvert reconstruction project. Grove Street is operating as a two-way route to Baltimore Avenue.

In Maurice River Township, Route 47 is closed and detoured in both directions between Main Street and Hunters Mill Road for a drainage pipe inspection. Work began at 8 a.m. Monday, July 17 and is expected to conclude Thursday, July 20.

Northbound Route 47 traffic will turn left onto Hunters Mill Road, then turn right onto Main Street/county Road 616, and left onto Route 47.

Route 47 southbound traffic will turn right onto Main Street/county Road 616, left onto Hunters Mill Road, and right onto Route 47. Precise times are subject to weather and other factors.

Traffic detours for intersection project at Route 40 in Atlantic County

In Buena Borough, a weeks-long intersection improvement project starts on Route 40 on Tuesday, July 25 with daily closures in both directions at Flower Street. Work will be done from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Route 40 westbound traffic will detour onto West Summer Road/CR 682 to South Central Avenue/CR 627. Route 40 eastbound traffic will detour onto South Central Avenue/CR 627 to West Summer Road/CR 682.
