Around Town: Saugatuck residents gather for annual tree lighting ceremony

SAUGATUCK — Dozens of carolers and residents gathered Friday, Nov. 25, to witness the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Wicks Park in downtown Saugatuck.

During the ceremony, a star atop Mt. Baldhead lit alongside the Christmas tree.

The event was one of the first along the lakeshore to officially welcome the holiday season, followed by parades in Holland and Zeeland and "Magic at the Mill" at Windmill Island Gardens.
