(FOX40.COM) — It’s been just over a month since a man was found fatally shot along Florin Road in Sacramento County and an arrest has been made in the case, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

On Feb. 24, Joseph Soto, 38, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 5900 block of Florin Road and was taken to a hospital.

Given his condition upon entering the hospital, medical care providers expected him to survive, according to the sheriff’s office. Soto’s condition would worsen and he would die on March 21.

Continuing with their investigation, detectives learned that Soto was possibly in an argument out of a restaurant with another man just before he was shot.

That man was later identified and detectives arrested the suspect on Thursday without incident.

That person has been booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail and is facing a single charge of murder.
