Arrest made, various drugs seized during traffic stop

POCONO TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man was arrested after police say he was found with various drugs during a traffic stop in Monroe County.

According to the Pocono Township Police Department, on August 10 around 10:16 p.m., officers pulled over a Mitsubishi Outlander for multiple vehicle code violations.

Police say they immediately detected an odor of marijuana coming from the car and they requested to search the vehicle, which was denied by the driver, 31-year-old Anthony Robles, of Bronx, New York.

Officers said they impounded the vehicle and applied for a search warrant. A search of the car revealed various amounts of narcotics, a digital scale, and packaging materials.

Investigators noted they suspected Robles was headed to the Elements Music & Arts Festival held at the Pocono Raceway to sell the items.
