Arrest made after woman killed in Catawba County crash
Highway patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened in Catawba County Friday morning.
The wreck was at the intersection of Highway 16 and Mount Olive Church Road in Newton just after 6 a.m.

State troopers said an A 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser, was traveling north on NC 16, attempted to turn left onto Mount Olive Church Road and hit a southbound 2010 Nissan Versa.
The driver of the Nissan, Gabrielle Christine Dyal, of Hickory, died at the scene, according to troopers.
The driver of the Toyota, Gerald Kophen Vue, of Newton, was not injured. Vue was arrested and charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle. He is under a $75,000 unsecured bond, according to authorities.
