Three people have been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was hit by a car following an "altercation", police have said.
The teenager is stable after the crash in Liverpool at about 22:30 GMT on Thursday.
One man was also detained in Anfield Cemetery on Friday morning, after he was found with a large quantity of cannabis and £2,000.
Three of those arrested have been bailed pending further enquiries.
They include two males and a female, police said.
Officers said there had been a row before the 15-year-old boy was hit by a dark Volvo in Walton Vale.
Three men who were carrying machetes then left the car and were joined by another man.
They all ran away, with one fleeing down Cedar Drive and the other three escaping via Grace Road.
The 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital, where he is now in a stable condition.
About eight other people were arrested for various offences after a Section 60 order was implemented soon afterwards, allowing police to stop and search people in the area.
They include a 25-year-old man from Walton, who was held on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drug, cannabis and possession of criminal property.
He has been bailed further enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
