Arrests Made as Thousands Protest Nagorno-Karabakh Peace Deal in Yerevan

Thousands gathered in Yerevan, Armenia, on November 11 to protest a peace deal signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan ending conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

The Russian-brokered deal was welcomed by celebrations in Azerbaijan, but sparked public anger in Armenia.

According to local media, protests organised by Armenian opposition leaders centered on Freedom Square.
