Arrowhead isn’t the highest-ranked NFL stadium on this tailgating list. Here’s why

Nothing bonds fans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium like grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, along with barbecue goodies, before a Chiefs game.

It’s one of the many traditions that make Arrowhead one of the best stadiums in the NFL.

A recent national study backs up the claim. RVTrader, an online site dedicated to RV lifestyle, ranked Arrowhead as the fifth-best stadium for RV tailgating in the NFL.

Having parking spots large enough to accommodate RVs is one of the factors that influenced Arrowhead’s ranking.

RVTrader warned Class A or Class C motorhome owners that they may have to park in another section if the RV takes up more than two spaces. You will also have to buy an oversized parking pass, which costs $120 before fees.

RVTrader said you can see fans starting their tailgating as soon as the parking lot gate opens four and a half hours before kickoff.

Before 2022’s home-opening game against the Los Angeles Chargers, fans were tailgating at 10:30 a.m. for a game that didn’t start until 7:15 p.m.

Arrowhead ranked behind the stadiums of the Houston Texans, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills.
