Arrowverse stars Matt Letscher and Kirk Acevedo have hit out at fellow Arrowverse actor Stephen Amell over the controversial comments he made about the ongoing SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) strikes.

As a high profile opponent to the SAG-AFTRA actors trade union strike, Amell, who is best known for his portrayal of Oliver Queen on The CW's Arrow, is now facing a backlash from his Arrowverse colleagues.

Offering his opinion on the continuing strikes, Amell recently called the action "myopic", "incredibly frustrating" and a "reductive negotiating tactic" (via Deadline).

"I support my union, I do, and I stand with them, but I do not support striking, I don't," Amell said. "I think it is a reductive negotiating tactic, and I find the entire thing incredibly frustrating. And I think the thinking as it pertains to shows like the show that I'm on [Heels], that premiered last night, I think it's myopic."

Speaking out against Amell's comments, Matt Letscher, who starred as Eobard Thawne aka Reverse-Flash in The CW's The Flash series, took to Twitter to air his frustration at his colleague's comments.

"Still waiting on that comprehensive list of totally non-reductive negotiating tactics we get to employ now. Thank god for superheroes! Any second now…. #SAGAFTRAstrike #SAGAFTRAstrong," wrote Letscher.

Meanwhile, another member of the Arrowverse took to Twitter to call out Amell's remarks using a series of suggestive emojis.

Retweeting an article from The Hollywood Reporter about Amell's comments, Kirk Acevedo, who starred as villain Ricardo Diaz aka The Dragon on The CW's Arrow, tweeted: "This f**king guy".

Along with the tweet, Acevedo included a couple of emojis at the end which indicated he was sticking his middle finger up at his Arrow co-star.
