Art for the Holidays exhibit at Hampton's Lane House Arts Center
HAMPTON — The Lane House Arts Center in Hampton is hosting their annual “Art for the Holidays” exhibit, featuring local artists and fine crafts people, as well as an open house and open studios.
The holiday exhibit and gallery will feature over 30 artists in a wide range of mediums and styles, from paintings and photography to woodwork, ceramics and jewelry, leather work and fiber arts, and handmade ornaments and holiday cards.
“We have an amazing array of unique, hand-crafted work, perfect for gift-giving,” says Karen Desrosiers, founder of Lane House Arts Center. “This is a great opportunity to support artists and local, small business, while finding a one-of-a-kind gift.”
An open house and open studios will run Dec. 3-5. “Visitors can explore the artist studios, chat with artists, enjoy a holiday treat, and have a chance at door prizes,” says Desrosiers.
The “Art for the Holidays” exhibit and expanded gallery continues to Dec. 23rd. The gallery is open Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.
Simultaneously, the Lane House Arts Center is hosting a food drive and fundraiser to support Gather, which is working to end hunger in the Seacoast area. The fundraiser to benefit Gather will continue to Dec. 20.
