  • Pipe carver Max, who goes by RadonLab on Reddit, made a replica of the Terminator's head in one recent project.

  • He posted a photo of the pipe to the subreddit r/Damnthatsinteresting, never expected the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzeneggar, to see it.

  • Schwarzeneggar commented on the photo asking whether he could buy the pipe, to which Max said it would be an honor to gift it to him.

  • "If you insist on giving it to me, I insist on sending you back a signed photo of me using it," Schwarzeneggar replied — and he did.

  • Max posted the signed picture on his Instagram, which had a note written on it: "Thank you for the great pipe."

When pipe carver Max, who goes by Radonlab on Instagram and Reddit, carved a pipe shaped like the Terminator, he only wanted people to check out his work.

He never expected the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to see it.

Max posted a photo of the pipe to the subreddit r/Damnthatsinteresting about a month ago, saying he did it especially for Schwarzenegger's birthday.

Schwarzenegger stumbled upon the post and commented, "Wow. This is fantastic. It is beautiful. Would you sell this to me?"

Max replied saying it would be an honor to gift it to him.

"If you insist on giving it to me, I insist on sending you back a signed photo of me using it," the former Governor of California responded. "Now that it's 2020 I just sign things on my machine and send in email if that works for you. You can send me a message and I'll give you the details."

This week, Schwarzenegger uploaded a picture to Imgur that showed he had received the pipe safe and sound.

"I love it," he commented on the Reddit post, adding a link to the photo. "You're really talented, and I can't thank you enough!"

Max then posted an update to his Instagram page.

"This is probably the best day of my life," he wrote. "I'm very happy and it's not even about the big money or the many orders. He is a legend and I was able to touch him, it is a great honor for me."

He said he was just an ordinary guy who made a pipe for Schwarzenegger, and he accepted the gift, which was an "interesting" and "fantastic" story.

"I am grateful to God that I have lived to this day, and thanks to everyone who helped me in this, I am very grateful," he said.
