Artists, community to come together this weekend at Westchester Craft Crawl

The Westchester Craft Crawl is making its return Oct. 21 and 22.

The biannual event is an artist-organized craft tour, similar to open studio tours. It is co-organized by three Ossining artists who are also participants in the crawl: Leigh Taylor Mickelson, Alexandra FitzGerald and Loren Maron.

This year, more than 40 professional craft artists from the Hudson Valley and beyond will be featured in four studio stops between Ossining and Croton-on-Hudson hosting 10 or more artists.

The artists work in various mediums, including in glass, jewelry, mixed media (illustration), home goods, ceramics, leather and wearable fibers.

There will also be a craft brewery, craft distilleries and artist demonstrations as part of the tour, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 and 22. Tour sponsors will offer refreshments and/or home goods.

This year, attendees will be given a "passport" at their first stop. If they visit all four stops, they will be eligible to win special handmade prizes, donated by the artists.
