Artists Resurrect Monolith Atop Pine Mountain After it Was Replaced With Wooden Cross

A group of artists in Atascadero, California, resurrected the monolith they created after it had been torn down and replaced with a wooden cross.

Metal artist Wade McKenzie recorded a video that showed a group of men carrying the metallic object and placing it back on top of Pine Mountain, on December 4.

“You can’t bring me down,” McKenzie can be heard saying in the video.

A local resident discovered the monolith on Pine Mountain on December 2 before it was reportedly destroyed and replaced by a wooden cross the next day.

McKenzie told Storyful that he and his friends built and positioned the monolith after the tall shiny objects appeared in Utah and Romania. Credit: Wade McKenzie via Storyful
