'Reefer Madness'

The Millennial Theater Project will perform the spoofy "Reefer Madness" at 8 p.m. Friday and Sunday, Aug. 26-27, and Sept. 2-3 at the Knight Stage at the Akron Civic Theatre, 182 S. Main St.

The show, inspired by the 1936 film of the same name, is a raucous musical comedy that takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana, leading them on a hysterical downward spiral filled with evil jazz music, sex and violence.

Cost is $20. See www.akroncivic.com or call 330-253-2488.
