Artwork in historic Kansas City mansion for sale puzzles Friday Night Zillow. See why

A mansion with a beautiful exterior offers some interesting decor — so interesting that folks who follow a popular Twitter segment had quite a few questions.

The landmark estate listed for $3.9 million in Kansas City, Missouri, is called a “gated Mediterranean sanctuary” in the listing on Compass and has a “resort-like” feel, especially on the outside.

“Situated on nearly two private acres, the home wraps around a back courtyard offering views of the saltwater pool with fountains and hot tub from nearly every room and the grand balcony that runs the entire length of the home,” the listing says. “The long circular drive is accented by an arched covered entry flanked by columns leading into the spectacular interior.”

The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom, 14,084-square-foot home includes:

  • Chef’s kitchen

  • Marble floors

  • Theater

  • Game room

  • Wine cellar

  • Pool room

  • Gym

  • Potting room

  • Outdoor kitchen

What caught the attention of Friday Night Zillow, a Twitter segment that highlights unique houses up for sale, is the statue in the kitchen.

What is this?” segment creator Steven Dennis asked when posting a photo of a statue that appears to be a woman on her back with her legs in the air.

I’ve seen A LOT of things on Zillow. But never anything quite like this where you see a statue’s backside every time you go to the kitchen,” Dennis continued.

People agreed.

Creepiest pillar ever?” one person asked.

Mom’s really into Pilates?” someone said.

I don’t even want to guess,” one person noted.

Regardless of what folks think of the statue, it manages to go with the decor flow of the house.

The listing is held by Kristin Malfer and Brent Draper.
