Arvest ATM with Live Teller opens in Chickasha

Oct. 10—ATMs are a convenient way for patrons to make quick financial transactions on their own—but sometimes another human is needed.

Arvest Bank in Chickasha opened an ATM that allows customers to interact with a live teller via video screen at 413 W. Country Club Rd.

The Chickasha Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the new ATM with Live Teller on Tuesday. This is the first ATM of its kind in Chickasha and Grady County, according to Angela Spradlin, Chickasha Arvest VP and Business Banking Manager.

She said the new ATM can handle most drive-through transactions.

"Pretty much anything you can do at our drive-through—check, cash, make loan payments, order checks—you can do that here," Spradlin said.

Harrison, a live teller, spoke to the ribbon cutting attendees about his experience helping people use the ATM with live teller feature.

"A typical day for me, I get to talk to people in four different states. That makes the day go by pretty quickly. It's always interesting to get to see different weather and have conversations with a lot of different customers. I really enjoy it," Harrison said.

Arvest associates will be available in person for a limited time to help patrons use the new ATM, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Oct. 13.

The ATM with Live Tellers will be in operation Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular ATM services will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"We're excited to introduce the ATM with Live Teller to our Chickasha customers," Karene Sandra, Chickasha Community President with Arvest said in a press release. "This technology has been well-received by Arvest customers across our footprint, as it offers a more convenient way to bank with us while still maintaining the exceptional personal service our customers come to expect from our tellers."

Arvest provided a list of things that can and can't be done at the ATM with Live Teller.

Can be done: Deposits, withdrawals, check cashing for Arvest account holders, bill exchange, transfers, loans, mortgage and safe deposit box payments, credit card payments, stop payments, TRIPS disputes, traditional debit card and check ordering and transfer to other ATM with Live Teller Associates (Spanish speaking or supervisor).

Can't be done: Check cashing for non-customers, closing interest bearing accounts, instant issue debit cards, pinning/re-pinning debit cards, rolled coins, statement printing, money order/cashier's checks, cash advances, wires or credit card payments without an Arvest deposit account.
