Here are the top stories in Tampa today:

1. Strategic Property Partners have announced a new apartment tower in Water Street Tampa called Asher. The building will house luxury residents upstairs at Asher and high-design extended-stay options at ROOST Tampa. Asher will offer 490 rental residences ranging from studio to two bedroom homes. ROOST Tampa will offer 97 studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom homes, as well as select co-living units. (That's So Tampa)

2. Sold: The Tampa property including Moxie's and Dohring building has been sold and will be demolished, according to Tampa Bay Business Journal. Downtown Tampa's Moxie's Cafe, Dohring building, Bamboozle and First Watch will be allowed to stay on the property until it is torn down. (Creative Loafing)

3. Tampa Bay’s gross domestic product fell by nearly $2.4 billion in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. All Tampa Bay counties outperformed the state as a whole which saw GDP drop $27.6 billion or 2.8%. (Tampa Bay Times)

4. Duane "Dog" Chapman, the bounty hunter who led a search for Gabby Petito's boyfriend, says his team discovered the body of Kathleen Moore. Moore's body was found in a wooded area in New Port Richey. Her body was discovered near boyfriend Collin Knapp's home. Knapp has been arrested and charged with second-degree homicide. (Tampa Patch)

5. College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving, a Tampa-based moving company, will be featured on the January 7th episode of "Undercover Boss" which airs at 8 p.m. on CBS. The episode will follow will College HUNKS co-founders Nick Friedman and Omar Soliman as they wear disguises and work among employees. (Business Observer)
