A United Kingdom-based husband-wife duo will bring something familiar to town when The Black Feathers perform at Isis Music Hall.

The duo of Ray Hughes and Sian Chandler meld Americana, folk, and acoustic indie rock into its songs, which is something well known to local ears, and are beginning to cultivate an American following because of the group’s harmonies and songwriting skills.

The Black Feathers, who will play at 7 p.m. Nov. 3, are in the middle of celebrating a new album, titled “Angel Dust & Cyanide.” The show in the lounge at Isis Music Hall is one of the final two American shows on a tour that began in July and included several festival appearances.

The album, which includes a cover of Portishead’s “Glory Box,” was recorded in a converted chapel in Wales during the COVID-19 pandemic as the duo had to stop its constant tour schedule.

"We decided that we would let the songs lead the way," Hughes said in a press release about the songs that make up the new album. "No rules, no boxes, we just wanted to be free to explore and enjoy it."
