Asheville Residents Enjoy Record-Breaking Snowfall

Residents of Asheville, North Carolina, enjoyed snowy scenes on Sunday, January 16, as a winter storm in the area broke a snowfall record previously held for 131 years.

The Asheville Regional Airport recorded 10.4 inches on Sunday, breaking the previous maximum daily snowfall record of seven inches held since 1891, the National Weather Service reported.
