New Asian restaurant 'Aqua Bistro' sets opening date in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO — A new Asian cuisine restaurant planning to offer a "taste (of) the world" has set an opening date in San Angelo.

Aqua Bistro, 3029 Sherwood Way, will open its doors this weekend inside a newly remodeled building that was once a Pizza Hut.

Restaurant owner Tracy Tran said "Asian meals contain the layers of emotions, of stories, of consciousness and a heaven of memories," which motivated her into business, according to a social media post on Facebook.

The bistro will focus on crafting Asian-inspired dishes with a twist to match local tastes. A menu was not available as of 8 a.m. Friday.

Hopeful foodies can reserve a table for the soft opening Dec. 4-5 by calling 325-617-2361. The grand opening will be Monday, Dec. 6, and there will be wine giveaways.
