Asian woman sought in ‘disturbing’ Canada hit-and-run that sent 11-year-old boy to hospital
Police in the Canadian city of Richmond are searching for a driver who allegedly struck an 11-year-old boy and left him to fend for himself on Wednesday.
The incident, which cops described as a “disturbing collision,” reportedly occurred in the area of Number 1 Road and Tucker Avenue just before 9 a.m.
The child was pushing his bicycle on a pedestrian crosswalk when a gray minivan hit him. The driver then “proceeded to sideswipe another vehicle" before speeding off, according to Cpl. Dennis Hwang.
The boy was transported to the hospital but was eventually released. He reportedly suffered minor injuries.

Police described the suspect as an Asian woman in her 50s with a bob-style haircut. Her minivan is also believed to have possibly incurred light damage.
