Brandon Pelizzari is the new assistant district attorney general for the Seventh Judicial District.

District Attorney General Dave Clark announced his assistant in a news release.

“Brandon is an experienced attorney and prosecutor. I am thrilled to add his experience and talent to the office,” Clark said in the news release. Pelizzari joins the Clinton Seventh Judicial District office after having been a driving under the influence prosecutor in the Eighth Judicial District — mostly assigned to Campbell County for the past several years.

“In addition to his professional skill, Brandon brings familiarity with our community. As a native Anderson Countian who lives in our community, he will literally be coming home,” Clark said in the release.

Pelizzari will prosecute all types of criminal offenses in the General Sessions Courts located in Clinton and Anderson County.

Pelizzari is originally from Clinton. He is an alumnus of Clinton High School and the son of Barry and Sharon Pelizzari. He attended Middle Tennessee State University for his undergraduate studies and received his doctorate degree from the Nashville School of Law. Pelizzari previously practiced privately in Oak Ridge and then prosecuted for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services in its Clinton office before becoming a prosecutor in the Eighth Judicial District.

Regarding his selection to become an assistant district attorney general in Clinton, Pelizzari said, “It is truly an honor to come home and serve the Seventh Judicial District and be mentored by my friend General Clark.”
