Associated Bank to close its Oconto Falls branch in early March
Associated Bank has announced it will close its Oconto Falls branch in early March.
The location, 134 N. Main St., will shutter as Associated says its customers are increasingly relying on digital banking.
"Our branch, call center and strong digital capabilities allow customers to bank with us on their terms and require a smaller branch network," Jennifer Kaminski, vice president, public relations senior manager, wrote in an email.
The Oconto Falls operations will consolidate with the Oconto branch, 1035 Main St. The Coleman location, 118 Business 141 N, also will remain open.
"This consolidation reflects a recent evaluation of our retail footprint to ensure our network is ideally positioned for future success, especially as it pertains to evolving customer banking preferences and the changing regulatory and competitive environment," Kaminski said.
The Oconto Falls branch will close either March 1 or March 2, she said.
Associated will work with their impacted employees to find a new role within the company, where positions are available, Kaminski said.
