Friday Night Dancing at the Elks Lodge Hall

Enjoy a variety of live music, a great dance floor and more at the Stockton Dance Club's weekly Friday night dances. All dances are held at the Elks Lodge Hall. Dress is casual, but shirts with sleeves for men, long slacks (no shorts) and shoes are required. Enjoy the music of Nick Elwood at this week's dance.

Astronomy in the Park at Oak Grove Regional Park

Want to see the moon through a lens of a telescope? You can at Oak Grove Regional Park on Saturday. The Stockton Astronomical Society, the Oak Grove Docents Council and S.J. Parks are teaming up to present this International Astronomy Day Event.

Starting at 4 p.m. there will be astronomy themed activities and arts and crafts at the Nature Center and at 4:30 p.m. members of SAS will do Astronomy 101-style presentations.

Solar telescopes will be set up for solar viewing until 7 p.m. then starting at 8 p.m. there will be planetary scopes set up for the usual Astronomy in the Park event. Telescope viewing starts after sunset. When the sky becomes darker objects are more visible.

Every month the members of the Stockton Astronomical Society volunteer to set up their telescopes for the public to view the moon on the Saturday closest to the first quarter moon. Every month features a different deep sky object. May’s deep-sky object is the Whale Galaxy. The event may be canceled if the sky is not clear.

Pixie Woods grand opening season 2022

Pixie Woods' enchanted forest and magical pathways are back on Saturday for the 2022 season with a 68th birthday celebration and a world of imagination and wonder awaiting to be discovered.

When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through May 29

Asian American Pacific Islander Kommunity Market

Lodi Comic Con

The one-day pop culture convention, Lodi Comic Con returns with its 7th year at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds. Comics, video games, collectibles, exhibitors, and artists will all be at the event. A portion of the proceeds to benefit the Salvation Army Lodi.

Special guests include Daniel Logan ("Star Wars Young Boba Fett"), Athena (FKA Ember Moon WWE), Austin St. John (Original Red Power Ranger), and many more.
