Arizona State soccer will look to remain unbeaten when the Sun Devils return to the pitch at 1 p.m. Sunday to plays host Stanford.

ASU (6-0-2, 2-0 Pac-12) is comong off a 2-1 win Thursday over Cal. Fifth-year senior midfielders Alexia Delgado and Eva van Deursen both scored for the Sun Devils, who had to rally from a 1-0 deficit on a Golden Bears goal scored in the 11th minute.

This is the first time ASU has started 2-0 in conference play since 2007.

Women's basketball to face 8 tournament teams in non-conference play

Eight games against teams that qualified for postseason play last season highlight the Arizona State women's basketball 2022 non-conference schedule, announced by head coach Natasha Adair on Wednesday.

The Sun Devils will play 11 non-conference games, five at home, two at the Goombay Splash (Nov. 25-26, Bimini, Bahamas) and four others on the road. It all starts with home games Nov. 7 against Northern Arizona and Nov. 11 against Grambling State.

After that, ASU plays at Montana State (NCAA team last year) on Nov. 15 and New Mexico (WNIT) on Nov. 20 before heading for the Bahamas and contests with NCAA tournament teams Notre Dame and American, the latter also Patriot League tournament champions.

Following a road game at Grand Canyon (WNIT) on Nov. 30, the Sun Devils return home to face Atlantic-10 champion UMass (NCAA) on Dec. 2 and Missouri (WNIT) on Dec. 4.

ASU wraps up non-conference play at Stephen F. Austin (NCAA) on Dec. 11, and a home contest against Prairie View A&M on Dec. 17.

Douglas hat trick leads ASU soccer over Grambling State

Nicole Douglas, Arizona State soccer’s all-time leading goal scorer, recorded the fourth single-game, school-record tying hat trick of her Sun Devil career in a 5-0 win Wednesday night over Grambling State. She also became the Sun Devils’ career leader in points (126) and game-winning goals (17).

Douglas, who has scored all eight of her goals this season in ASU's past four games, now has 27 goals since the start of the 2021 season, a span of 25 games.

Goalkeepers Pauline Nelles and Birta Gudlaugsdottir combined to make three saves as ASU (3-0-2) posted its first shutout since Sept. 17, 2021 against Colorado College in a 2-0 win. The Sun Devils play their final non-conference game of the season at 7 p.m. Sunday at home against Toledo.

ASU women's basketball opens Pac-12 play at Arizona

Arizona State women’s basketball will begin the Natasha Adair era with a critical matchup in Tucson against Arizona to begin conference play for the 2022-23 season.

The Pac-12 announced the conference schedule on Thursday with ASU’s conference opener on Dec. 29 against the Wildcats. ASU will host Arizona on the weekend of Jan. 20-22. The separation of rivalry games is a new addition to the season from the Pac-12.

The Sun Devils will travel to California and Stanford following the game against Arizona.

ASU will host Oregon and Oregon State on the weekend of Jan. 6-8 for its conference opener at home.

ASU will travel to Colorado and Utah the following weekend on Jan. 13-15.

The 18-game schedule will see differences in travel for the teams.

ASU will skip traveling to Washington and Washington State and will only host both programs in Tempe on the weekend of Jan. 27-29. ASU will only travel to USC and UCLA on the weekend of February 3-5 and will not host either program.

ASU will host back-to-back weekends at home with California and Stanford coming on the weekend of Feb. 10-12 and Colorado and Utah on the weekend of Feb. 17-19.

Conference play will conclude on the weekend of Feb 23-25 with ASU traveling to Oregon and Oregon State.

The 2023 Pac-12 Tournament is scheduled for March 1-5 at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Nicole Douglas sets ASU career scoring record

Nicole Douglas scored her 50th and 51st career goals on Thursday to pace Arizona State's 6-2 home win over Alabama-Birmingham.

Douglas, a graduate student who was the 2021 NCAA scoring leader, surpassed the 50 goals scored by Stacey Tullock from 1998-2001. Douglas scored the Suns Devils' first and third goals.

A fifth-year player from London, Douglas has started all 75 games she has played for the Sun Devils. She recorded at least a goal or assist in all but five games last season.

ASU improved to 2-0-2 and next plays at 7 p.m. Sunday against Georgia Southern.

Also on Thursday, ASU announced it has agreed to play a non-conference game against Grambling State on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. in Tempe. This will make up for the Aug. 21 game against Hawaii that was canceled because of lightning storms that night.

ASU hockey announces captains for 2022-23 season

Arizona State hockey coach Greg Powers announced the team captains for the upcoming season on Friday.

Arizona Coyotes prospect Josh Doan will lead the Sun Devils, along with graduate forward Demetrios Koumontzis and senior defenseman Jacob Semik serving as alternate captains.

"This group of leaders is ready for the challenge that lies ahead," said Powers. "All three bleed maroon and gold in every way and I'm incredibly excited to see all of their success this season."

ASU's season begins on the road against Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 1. The Sun Devils will host Colgate on Oct. 14 in their home opener to kick off the inaugural season in Mullett Arena
