Which Athens-area high school football stadium has been toughest place to play in past decade

At the Clarke/Oconee Football Media Day this week, a theme emerged when players were asked about the toughest road environment to play.

Playoffs.

November games at state powerhouses Benedictine, Crisp County and Marist were listed as having difficult atmospheres to win a playoff game. It makes sense — as the season goes on, attendance and the stakes rise, especially teams with talent and state title expectations.

But there are tough environments in and around Athens, and several teams have the home records to prove it. Here’s how Athens area football teams rank by win percentage over the last decade.
