Athens State to hold annual golf classic Sept. 22

Sep. 1—ATHENS — Athens State University will hold its 31st annual Alumni Golf Classic Sept. 22 at Canebrake Club in Athens.

Businesses and individuals can sponsor a hole or half-hole starting at $600 and team registration fees are $800. Team registration closes Sept. 16. Skill and raffle prizes will be awarded.

All proceeds fund scholarships for Athens State students. Those interested in participating can register at athens.edu/alumni/golfclassic or email the ASU Office of University Advancement at alumni@athens.edu or call 256-233-8185 for more information. In the event of rain, the tournament will be held Sept. 29.
