Athlete, Student of the Week
Michael Huette has been selected as the Athlete of the Week at Prairie Central Jr. High by his basketball coach Todd Cheek. Michael, a seventh grader from Fairbury, is the son of Patrick and Angie Huette.
“Michael is an extremely hard worker and works to better himself and his teammates every day,” Cheek said. “He always brings a smile to practice and games and he never quits working hard.”
Michael is also involved in choir and band.
Student of the Week
Scott Griffith has been named Student of the Week at Prairie Central Jr. High by his ACES teacher Allison Wilson. Scott, an eighth grader from Chenoa, is the son of Scott Griffith Sr.
“Scott works very hard every day,” Wilson shared. “He is a strong leader in the classroom and always looks for ways to help his peers and his teachers.”
Scott, who enjoys humor and telling jokes, said his future plans include wanting to become a baker or an auto mechanic.
