Athlete of the Week
Collins-Maxwell sophomore Gracie Leslie is the Tri-County Times Athlete of the Week.
Leslie competed in the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials (IWCOA) girls state wrestling tournament held last Friday and Saturday at the at the Xtream Arena in Coralville. It was the second year in a row she's wrestled in the event.
Leslie finished 3-2 at 130 pounds over the weekend. Leslie pinned Council Bluffs-Lincoln's Bella Hirsch-Rollins and pulled off a 4-3 victory over Osage's Annaliese Arciniega before defeating Gilbert's Brooke Hamers by an 11-7 decision in the consolation third round for her three victories.
