Athlete of the Week: Plainfield High School gymnast Breanna Johnson
Plainfield junior Breanna Johnson has been the voted The Bulletin's Athlete of the Week for Feb. 27-March 4.
Johnson won the State Open championship in the floor exercise with a score of 9.6 at New Milford High School.
Johnson and Woodstock Academy's Olivia Aleman tied for first in the event. Johnson also tied for fifth (8.7) on the uneven bars.
Earlier this season, Johnson placed first on floor exercise (9.6) as a team of one in a meet with Killingly, Woodstock Academy and Norwich Free Academy.
