Grade: Senior

This week’s accomplishment: Reynolds led the Sun Devils in a thrilling 56-51 victory over Murrieta Valley last week. The linebacker capped Apple Valley’s comeback taking five carries for 78 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. On defense, he had the game-sealing interception and recorded 14 tackles, four solo and three for a loss.

What do you like most about your sport: Hurting people on the field.

How long have you been playing your sport and how did you get started: Been playing 13 years and I got into it because my mom.

Pregame ritual: Staying to myself and making sure I’m ready for what’s gonna happen.

Most memorable sports moment: Beating Murrieta Valley twice.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be and why: I would probably be Michael Jordan because he is one of the most respected people in this world I think.

Something most people don’t know about you: That I have dirt bikes and like to ride them.

How would you spend $1 million: I would save half and spend the rest on my family.

Where would you go if you could travel anywhere in the world: Hawaii

If you had an extra hour every day, how would you spend it: By getting more work done on the field or in the classroom.

Madison DiGiorgio

Sport: Volleyball

School: Serrano

Grade: Senior

This week’s accomplishment: DiGiorgio led the way for the Diamondbacks in three games last week. In the three-day stretch, she racked up 19 kills in a victory over Citrus Valley, 20 against Cajon and seven against Yucaipa. She also ended the week with 46 digs and served seven aces.

What do you like most about your sport: My favorite part of the sport is the competition because nothing beats the feeling of a great kill or block.

How long have you been playing your sport and how did you get started: I’ve been playing volleyball for seven years and I started with two of my best friends.

Pregame ritual: Pregame ritual has always been dancing before games normally with my team or one of my teammates.

Most memorable sports moment: My biggest memory was winning the JOs with my club team and getting the game winning block.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be and why: I would probably be Stan Lee or Walt Disney to be able to feel the legacy they’ve created.

Something most people don’t know about you: Most people don’t know that I write poetry.

How would you spend $1 million: I would spend $1 million on investments and an eco-friendly house to escape to.

Where would you go if you could travel anywhere in the world: Italy, because my family originally was from there.

If you had an extra hour every day, how would you spend it: I would spend it painting.

What superpower do you wish you had: I wish I could read people's minds because I think it would be cool to see what everyone's thinking.

Favorite sports team: The Michigan football team because I grew up watching them with my mom.

Favorite athlete: My brother, Garrett DiGiorgio, who plays for UCLA football.

Favorite superhero: Tony Stark (Iron Man) because of his mind and sarcasm.

Favorite TV show: “Game of Thrones”

Favorite movie: “Avengers: Endgame”

Favorite song: “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers

Favorite meal: Anything with sushi

Favorite local restaurant: The Jimmy John’s that is owned by family friends.

Favorite app: BeReal, because it is teaching kids to be real to each other again.
