Atlanta-based Delta AIrlines planning to hire more than 4,000 flight attendants

Looking for work as a flight attendant? Well, Atlanta-based Delta Airlines said it is planning to hire more than 4,000 people for the role.

“This is a historic year for flight attendant hiring, as we plan to grow our team by more than 4,000,” said Jennifer Martin, Managing Director – IFS CX, Learning and Hiring. “We’re excited to keep the momentum going and welcome more trainees for classes through the end of the year.”

The airline said in a news release that 1,940 new hires have come on board since February.

Delta said if you have a passion for people, adventure, and creating memories, this could be the right job for you.

At a minimum, applicants must have a high school diploma, GED or high school equivalency, the ability to work in the U.S., speak, read and write English fluently and be at least 21 years of age at the time of application submission.

Flight attendants must be flexible and willing to fly both international and domestic routes, according to Delta.

The airline said it is seeking bilingual candidates to apply thanks to its large number of international flights, especially those who speak English along with one of the following languages: Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, Greek, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Swedish.

Delta said its top priority for flight attendants it hires “is to ensure the safety and comfort of all customers while providing exceptional service.”
