Atwater woman injured in farm accident

Apr. 22—ATWATER — A 79-year-old woman from Atwater was injured Wednesday after being dragged by a piece of farm equipment.

The woman, whose identity was not released, was airlifted for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.

The incident was reported around 4:18 p.m. Wednesday in the 18000 block of U.S. Highway 12 Northeast in Gennessee Township.

According to the sheriff's report, the woman had become tangled in a piece of farm equipment and was dragged about 400 yards into a field.

The Atwater Ambulance Service, Atwater Fire Department, Carris Health Ambulance and Life Link Air Ambulance assisted at the scene.
