Auburn basketball Bruce Pearl after UK win: 'We're a football school but we're also an everything school'

Following Auburn basketball win over Kentucky on Saturday, coach Bruce Pearl had a bold claim for the state of the Tigers athletics.

"Well look at the kids, look at the students, look at our players," Pearl said postgame on CBS. "That's what it's all about right there.

"What I'm so excited about is I know this happens at North Carolina, I know it happens at Kansas. This is happening in Auburn, Alabama. We're a football school but we're also an everything school."

The No. 2 Tigers (18-1, 7-0 SEC) have a claim for the No. 1 spot in the polls following the 80-71 win over No. 12 Kentucky. Walker Kessler scored 19 points with seven rebounds, K.D. Johnson had 17 points and Jabri SMith scored 14 points while bringing down seven rebounds.

Auburn football finished the season unranked, dropping its last six games after starting 6-1.
