Auburn basketball score vs. Washington: Live updates against the Huskies

AUBURN — Following a close loss at USC on Sunday, Auburn basketball is looking to bounce back and score a win over Washington.

The Tigers (9-2) fought the Trojans to the end, but KD Johnson's half-court attempt to tie the game at the buzzer didn't fall, and Auburn lost its second game of the season. Johni Broome led the way with 16 points and eight rebounds, and freshman guard Tre Donaldson scored 10 in the first half.

Wendell Green Jr. came into the contest averaging 13.8 points per game, but an ankle/foot injury he suffered against Georgia State on Dec. 14 was clearly an issue, as he only played 12 minutes.

The Huskies (9-3), meanwhile, come into the game winners of two straight, with their most recent victory being a 90-55 blowout over Idaho State. Senior forward Keion Brooks Jr. averages a team-high 16.8 points, and fellow senior Cole Bajema is the only other player averaging double figures, with 10.7.

Washington's last loss came on the road at Gonzaga on Dec. 9, losing by 17 to the Bulldogs.
