AUBURN — Jaylin Williams has been ruled out of Auburn basketball's game against Colgate.

The team announced the senior power forward would miss the contest due to an illness just minutes before tipoff. He was seen wearing a mask in warmups and was not in uniform.

Allen Flanigan started in Williams' place, bumping Chris Moore to the power forward spot.

Williams has given Auburn a nice boost in a season in which the Tigers have struggled offensively. He's averaging 8.4 points per game and has scored at least nine in his last four games. In a win over Texas Southern on Nov. 18, Williams dropped a season-high 14 points.

It's the first start of the season for Flanigan, a senior who started 20 games a year ago. Coach Bruce Pearl has been using Flanigan as one of the first players off his bench this season, usually checking him into the game along with K.D. Johnson early in the first half.
