The Auburn Tigers are still hanging on in the AP Poll.

The team lost two games in a row to unranked teams, the first one to Texas A&M at home and the second one to the West Virginia Mountaineers on the road. While some fans may have been bracing for an exit out of the Top 25. Bruce Pearl and his squad has only just hung on — Auburn dropped 10 spots but is still barely a ranked team, coming in at No. 25 in the latest edition of the AP Poll.

Auburn was previously ranked No. 15 in the poll, matching its preseason ranking. Some initial losses saw it dip, but the Tigers were on a positive projection before taking the two unranked losses last week. Auburn’s next opponent will be the Georgia Bulldogs, who the team has already lost to once this year.

The SEC doesn’t have too much representation on this edition of the poll, only boasting three teams. Two of those teams, however (Alabama and Tennessee) are in the top-four spots — Auburn isn’t one of them, though, and so the team will look to climb closer to their SEC rivals in the coming weeks.
