AUBURN — Three-star cornerback J.C. Hart has committed to Auburn football, he announced Friday night.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Hart is the No. 887 overall recruit in the 2023 class, the No. 85 cornerback and the No. 33 player in Alabama amidst a loaded in-state talent pool. He chose Auburn over Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and UCF.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound defensive back plays for nearby Loachapoka High School. He is already enrolled in college-level classes through Auburn, which he will take during his senior year of high school.

Hart attended Auburn's Big Cat Weekend at the end of July. He is the Tigers' seventh verbal commit of the 2023 class. The previous six were each four-star recruits.
