Auburn football score vs. Georgia: Live updates from Sanford Stadium
ATHENS, Ga. — It's time for the 127th installment of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry.
Auburn football (3-2, 1-1 SEC) try to score an upset against No. 2 Georgia at Sanford Stadium on Saturday (2:30 p.m. CT, CBS). It's a series the Bulldogs (5-0, 2-0) have dominated in recent years, winning five straight and 14 of the past 17, but if the Tigers hope to get coach Bryan Harsin off the hot seat, they'll need to score a massive upset of the defending national champions.
Georgia is favored by 29.5 points despite coming off a pair of wins — 39-22 over Kent State and 26-22 against Missouri — in which it didn't play up to its standard. Auburn hasn't looked impressive since a 42-16 season-opening win over FCS member Mercer, and an overtime miracle against Missouri is the only thing separating it from an 0-2 record in conference play.
