Auburn football vs. Georgia: Our final score predictions are in.

The Auburn Tigers face the undefeated Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday.

The No. 2 Bulldogs, according to the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, escaped Missouri with a 26-22 win last week while the Tigers suffered a 21-17 loss to LSU. Auburn lost to Missouri 17-14 in overtime during Week 4, but the Tigers haven't won at Sanford Stadium in 17 years.

Georgia 38, Auburn 10: Auburn has a few potential routes of attack against Georgia's defense, but nothing in its performance this season suggests those routes are any more than wishful thinking. The Tigers are reeling; the Bulldogs should come out angry after two games which were much closer than they wanted. The score will reflect that.

Georgia 40, Auburn 17: The Bulldogs are ranked No. 1 but haven’t played like it for the last couple of weeks in a close call against Missouri and a sloppy win over Kent State. Bringing Auburn to Athens should solve Georgia’s problems.

Georgia 35, Auburn 3: The perfect salve for back-to-back lackluster victories for Georgia? Playing Auburn, which hasn’t scored more than 17 points in any of its three games against Power Five opponents and now must try to solve one of the nation’s best defenses. AU’s pass rush ranks among its strengths, but the Bulldogs don’t allow much pressure. One item to watch: Can Georgia establish the line of scrimmage after getting pushed around up front for much of last week’s narrow win at Missouri?

Georgia 37, Auburn 10: Why did CBS think this would be a more appealing game than Tennessee vs. LSU?

Answer: It probably just wanted to showcase the No. 1 Bulldogs. Unfortunately for CBS, Georgia played so poorly in an ugly win over Missouri that it lost its No. 1 ranking to Alabama.
